Last year we learned that peacocks molt.  Well, we thought that they do so in the fall time frame...which means September to October right?  Well, turns out that they molt much earlier, in August to be eact!  We discovered this quite by accident, on one of our weekend walks to the local library!  On that day, we took Toby for a pinic at the park by the library.  When we were there, a peacock strolled by.  He has already lost much of his tail.  We picked up several beautiful feathers that were just lying on the grass!  We were so lucky because we saw a few groups of people wandering the neighborhood in search of these amazing feathers.  

So what else happens in August besides peacocks molting??  First day of kindergarten for Buzz!!!  Oh my, what a big day.  But he has been so ready for kindergarten that he was not the least bit nervous.  His pre-school models their curriculum after kindergarten so the transition was easy for Buzz.  After the first day, he already made three new friends.  We're happy that he loves school so much.  As for Ahgoo, she was not a bit phased by the fact that her brother is not at her school anymore.
