This site is soooooo coooooool that I just have to blog about it.  I discovered it from Aylee's Blog.  It is a free make-you-own crossword puzzle site called Puzzle Maker.  Go ahead, follow the simple instructions and make your own crossword puzzle.  I made one in about 5 minutes!!  I made one about Mr. BAW and I.  I think it'll make a great game for our guests at Engagement Parties, Bridal Shower, and even at our wedding next year.  I asked questions like who is Mr. BAW's favorite superhero?  Where did we go on our first dinner date?  Simple trivia like that will be a fun way for our friends and family to get to know us better.  The only issue I had with the site is that you can't just save the puzzle as a picture.  I simply saved mine as a PDF file so that I can print it out on paper later.  Don't like crossword puzzles?  You can even make a word search puzzle!! :-)

We were vacationing in beautiful Carmel early this month after attending my friend's wedding.  Carmel is a charming town along the coast of California known for their exquisit shops.

I of course was bent on finding a pet store.  I enjoy browsing for cute doggie toys for Toby.   We came upon this adorable shop and saw these papier mache dog clocks that just made me laugh!  They are so cute, so life-like!  Most major dog breeds were represented.  But my favorite has to be the yellow lab with a tennis ball on his tongue.  The tennis ball acutally swings like a pendulum!!  On others, the dog tag acts as the pendulum.  I found that you can order these clock online at Nitro Dog.

Take a look at all the dog breeds they've done.  I must also tell you that these pictures don't do them justice.  The dogs looks so real in person that you just want to reach out and pet the dogs!

Don't know what papier mache is?  It is the art of sculpting with paper and glue.  Paper takes on an amazing stiffness when combined with glue.  Because of the fuzzy texture of the paper, these dogs have an extremely furry-like coat that makes them so life-like.

I couldn't tear myself away from the pet store without snapping a few pictures.  They also carry a few large pieces that resemble a real dog.  Those did not have a clock attached to them.  But I love the clocks, I love how the whiskers are clock hands and the tongue is the pendulum.  Unfortunately, they are way out of my price range.  But for those with a few dollars to spare, these make adorable gifts for your dog-loving friends. :-)

Time flies and I can't believe that it's the middle of July already.  We've started to think about our up-coming wedding.  There are so much to think about that I felt the need to make at least one decision first.  Ever since our trip to Japan, I've fallen in love with Cherry Blossoms. Therefore, I've decided to go with the Cherry Blossom theme for the wedding.  Nothing crazy, but perhaps there will be simple touches of reddish pinks here and there.

I have been browsing the web for Cherry Blossom wedding invititations.  I also would like the bridesmaids to wear various shades of pinks and pale red, like the darker shades of the flowers in this picture I took in Japan.

We also started looking for a site.  But so many things to consider such as location, food, parking, prices, and most importanly availability.  I'm already feeling overwhelmed...breathe in, breathe out...

Last week a sad event happened.  I lost my little Catfish Pascal.  Lots of things have been happening at home lately that could've contributed to his passing.  Since my engagement, Toby and I have moved out of our home of 4 years to a new home.  However, Pascal was not moved yet because I didn't want to disturb his dwelling yet.  Unfortunately, I've not been able to watch him as carefully as I normally do.

I am extremely sadden by his death.  I've had him for just over a year and I've grown to really love the little guy.  He will be sorely missed.  I've never really had a pet fish until Feynman and Pascal.  Both of them had been wonderful pets each with they own unique personality.  Once Toby and I are completely settle in our new residence, we may decide to adopt another pet fish.

Sorry for the lack of blogging but we've been plagued with the computer curse lately.  Both computers in our household have been having breathing difficulties.  Besides technical problems, we've also been on a trip recently up to SF to attend TNH's wedding.  After the wedding we took a mini-vacation driving down the coast of California stopping at Carmel, Monterey, and San Luis Obispo.  That trip is left for another blog.

Last month, we attended a popular LA event...a movie at the Hollywood Forever Cemetary.  These Summer outdoor movies are a favorite amongst the young LA-nites who likes to take advantage of the glorious Southern California weather combined with the glamour of old time Hollywood.  Cinespia hosts movies at the cemetary every Summer boasting some of the most famous Hollywood horror and suspense classics.  We chose to see Hitchcock's Vertigo.

We packed a picnic along with blankets and a lantern and headed out to Hollywood for a nice evening at the cemetary.  The atmosphere was incredible.  Some people were very casual with their sandwiches and soda, others went all out with wine and fancy cheeses.  The group next to us even brought a low table to set all of their fine foods on.  Overall, it was a fun evening in LA.
