may have wondered where I've been. Well, the second the calendar
hits March 1st, my schedule at work has been crazy. I've been so
busy at work that by the time I get home my mind is completely drained
so blogging has been unappealing to me. But I do want to show you
something I made a few months ago. It's a puppet theater that I
made out of a diaper box!
Basically, since last July, Buzz has been obsessed with the Big Bad Wolf
Last July, when our nephews were visiting from Chicago, the boys
were playing with our couch cushions to make a house. So we
played a three little pigs and the big bad wolf game where I pretended
to be the big bad wolf and they had to hide in the cushion house.
Ever since then, Buzz LOVES to pretend that the big bad wolf is
coming to get him. He also LOVES any story that has the big bad
wolf, specifically The Three Little Pigs and Little Red Riding Hood.
Of course when I tell him these stories I improvise and put him
into the stories. Instead of the Little Red Riding Hood it's Buzz
and Ahgoo going to visit Grandma. Since he LOVES my stories so
much, I thought that he would really enjoy the stories told through the
use of finger puppets. Well I didn't want to spend money buying a
fancy puppet theater so I decided to make my own.
Lastly, here are a few funny things my 3-year-old said recently:
After pooping on the potty, he got up and looked into the potty and
said, "That looks like a cupcake!" To which Daddy replied, "Not a
very tasty one!"
- Buzz often asks for things. If you tell him to hold on, he'll grab your arm/leg/shirt and say, "I'm holding on."
- Fifteen is often Fiveteen.
