What do you do with a needy dog?  Toby's been extremely needy ever since we moved into the new house!

Anytime Mr. BAW comes home late, he claws at the front door or the door to the garage all night, until he comes home.
Anythime Mr. BAW's home Toby has to be attached to him.  And he has to be near us all the time when we're at home.

I wonder if it has anything to do with adjusting to our new home.

...........................................................................................................................................................

Our new home is starting to feel more organized.  I've started to hang pictures on walls and we can finally park both of our cars into the garage!  We've also made a couple of meals in our kitchen.  I've managed to put away all of our combined dishes and pots and pans.  Over time, we may re-organize the kitchen based on how we cook, but for now, it's all put away.  It's quite amazing how much stuff two adults have.

It's also amazing how much stuff a 90lb Golden Retriever have!  :-)  Toby actually have his own "room" of stuff, including his toy chest and bathing products.  I think once we put everything away, we will end up doing an assessment and donating a lot of stuff away.  Things we've out-grown as singles such as old bills and old magazines.  And old appliances like TVs.  I've already donated all of our old home phones away.

For now, I can show you touches of our new home.  We painted the living room a sunny yellow that goes so well with touches of red accents.  The yellow was actually Mr. BAW's choice.  He wanted something homey.  So yellow it is!

This is my "wall of blossoms" to the left.  I took every one of those pictures in Japan.  It is a beautiful reminder of our trip.

I've also got an area for tons of photos of family and friends.

My office in an armoire...I love this little work space right next to our living room.  This will allow me to work on the computer while Mr. BAW watches TV in the same room.

Our brand new skylight.  The skylight happens to be right over my "office" in the living room.  I love to just stare at the sky.

Mr. BAW's little gnome, hard at work planting flowers in our backyard!

This is my bay window.  For now, we're also keeping our wedding toasting glasses there.

The week before we moved into our new house, a box arrived there.  Thank goodness my FILs were staying there for a few days to work on the house.  Here's the big, worn box that arrived at the door step one afternoon.  My DRESS had arrive!!  as excited as I was, I stole it away in a closet for two weeks while we got busy moving and unpacking.

Yesterday, I finally had an opportunity to take it out of its box and tried it on while Mr. BAW as at the beach playing volleyball.  I just wanted to make sure that they did ship me the right dress.  I hastily tried it on and it was great!  I still love the dress.  I don't even know if they need to shorten it, with heels I think it fits perfectly.  Now I need to make an appointment with the store to add in a bustle.  What do you think, French, Australian, or American?

Here's a couple of pictures of the dress and veil and a detail pic of the embrodery on the skirt.  Sorry, no pics of me wearing it.

...........................................................................................................................................................

I HATE moving.  So imagine having to do three moves in one day!  We finally moved into our new home (without the wall).  It was rough though...we hired three movers and it took them all day and it cost us $1200.  But then again, we had them move furniture out of Mr. BAW's condo (where we all had been living), out of my old condo (where Toby and I lived for 5 years), and out of my storage unit which had been housing my heavy cherry wood furniture for a year.  The mover's took everything from three places to our new home.  Our garage was packed by the time the movers left at ~10pm.  I gotta say, we shall never move again!  Luckily, we love our new house and our new neighborhood.  We're atop of the LA basin overlooking all of LA and the ocean all the way up to Malibu.

So that's my excuse for the lack of blogging.  We are still in the mist of unpacking.  But I'm working a good pace.  My FILs were a god-send.  They drove all the way from Arizona to help us fix up the house prior to moving.  My FFIL replaced faucet heads and locks for us and painted our ceiling.  He also hooked up our washer/dryer so the my FMIL can wash loads and loads of dirty linens and couch cushions for me!!!  They were simply amazing people.  But I still never want to move again!  We are making good progress, it's becoming very much a home for us and Toby.  I can't show you pictures of the inside yet, but here a few pics of our backyard.

Oh yeah, I've given myself the month of April off from wedding planning, just to unpack and get settled in.
