................................................................................................................................................................................
 When
you're expecting your first baby, there are tons of great advice from
veteran parents, books, and the internet. These advice cover
sleep, feed, and bathing but one advice I want to share is something
rarely mentioned. That is, get books you like to read as well as
something baby likes to read!! For the past year, the one phrase
I hear for at least twenty times per day is "Read, Mommy, read!"
Our little boy LOVES books, which is fantastic and we encourage
reading from the start. But when you have to read "Bubble, bubble
float on top!" for twenty times in one hour, it gets to wear on you!
Then he advances to more story-like books but he still prefers
that you read only one or two pages ALL THE TIME!! They're not
kidding when they say that toddlers love repetition! I've gotten
so good that I can recite certain pages of his favorite books without
even having to look at the page. Last week, we received a
package in the mail filled with gifts for our new baby girl, there was
also a little gift for our little boy. It was this little gem of
a book called Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb.
This came from our dear friends from New York. This little
book is so cute and not only does our little boy love it, we have fun
reading it to him! It's got a great rhythm to it and the
illustrations are adorable. I actually look forward to reading
the book. Mr. BAW was humming the words in the kitchen the other
day! :-) When our boy wants us to read a book, I always ask
him if he wants the Hand, Hand book! I highly recommend this cute
little book. |

| | Our
little girl is officially 3 weeks old. We're slowly getting to
know each other. She's been just the perfect little baby.
She is breastfeeding well, gaining weight, and is just a happy
little girl. Baby hardly cries, she's just a mellow little girl.
Each day she spends more and more time awake during the day.
She feeds very regularly through the night, about every 2.5-3
hours. During the day she's content sitting in her bouncer or
napping on a blanket. At three weeks old, she officially flashed
me a real smile! Since this is our second child, I'm
using all of my experiences from our first baby. But today, I
learned something new I want to share. When I had my first baby I
talked about how inconsistent baby clothes size
labels are. This is true for baby socks as well! I've been
putting newborn socks on Baby Girl and they always fall off. I'm
sure anyone with a baby have that experience. Well, today I found
this pair of old socks and decided to put it on her. They fit
great, just tight enough that they don't fall off but also do not cut
off circulation nor leave a ring on her legs. Upon inspection,
these are Old Navy socks we got for our little boy when he was 6 months
old. The size says 6-12 month! I remember not using them
much because they felt so tight on our 6 month old son. So there
you have it, they are great for new borns! So how do the baby
clothing industry determine their sizes? Here's a list of helpful tips. |

| Hope
everyone had a wonderful Easter. Since Baby and I are still not
ready to venture out yet, our family hosted a small Easter dinner.
This is Baby's first Easter so she got dressed up for the
occasion. Our little boy also got to do some Easter egg hunt in
our backyard. He had a blast, along with Toby. Now our
house is filled with yummy Easter foods and loads of desserts,
something we're quite happy about.

 | Meet
our little girl, Jacqueline. She was born on March 29 at 1:45am.
She's now almost one week old and has just been the perfect
little baby. Our little family is now complete. Her big
brother is still getting used to having a baby sister but he's doing
well. Toby came over and licked her tiny feet today, so he's
definitely accepted her into his life. We are also happy to
welcome a new friend, Baby Trey into the world. He was born
on April 1st! His mother was born on February 29th, 40
years ago. So that family is no stranger to special birth dates.
