General
silliness. Lots going on at our house lately. Ahgoo is
getting very close to being potty trained. In fact, I have been
preparing to convert the "changing table" into my future potting table.
I'll be blogging about the transformation in a later post.
She's also in the middle of transitioning from "The Twos'" into
"The Threes'" class at school. She'll be going to her very first dental appointment
next week, eek! She still doesn't quite know how to spit so we
don't use toothpaste yet. Hopefully, she'll be as good as Buzz
was at his very first dental appointment. |

I
struggled with whether I should write this post or not. But I
decided to share this story because I wanted to remind myself to be
thankful every day for what I have. I also wanted to pass on to
people the life of this little girl because her time with us was just
too short. Two weeks ago, my cousin and his wife lost their
precious little girl unexpectedly. She was only seven years old.
We are all still in disbelieve and shock. Little Siena came
down with a bacterial infection that caused her body to react
catastrophically. It was sudden and completely unexpected.
One day she was a happy little girl and the next she was in
intensive care fighting for her life. Her story is shared here.
My cousin and his wife also have twin baby girls who will grow up
never knowing their big sister. But hopefully, these precious
twin girls will give them strength to move forward. I can't
imagine the feeling of losing a child and these days I linger just a
bit longer when I give my kids hugs. |

I hope
everyone had a wonderful Easter! We took a quick trip to Arizona
to spend Easter with the Grandparents. The weather was warm and
pleasant. Grandma also wanted to bake a cake for Ahgoo to do a
mini-belated birthday celebration. We also went to a huge Easter
egg hunt event hosted by the city and there must have been close to a
thousand kids at this event! I had not idea that Arizona was such
a booming place for young families! As usual, my MIL made
an incredible Easter meal for us. As I get the hang of this
parenting thing, I realized that I can't do it all! My MIL and I were
cleaning up the kitchen after our Easter dinner when the kids were
egg-dying with Grandpa and Daddy. Well, being my anal retentive
self, I wanted to make beautiful Easter eggs like these...but
since I couldn't clone myself, I had to let the kids and the men do the
egg decorating. But look what they came up with?? Yes, they
are crooked, yes, the colors are not even. But I must say that
they are strangely adorable. Especially since my kids made them
with their own hands! Haha, Daddy even spilled the entire cup of
blue dye all over the patio. But I was not there to yell at
anyone and it all turned out fine. Some times, I have to be
reminded that things are ok without me. | The googly-eyed eggs.
 | I love their jolly faces.
 | This one was Ahgoo's because it's pink.
 | The kids traded in a token from their egg for a kite at the giant Easter Egg Hunt event at Prospector Park.

Our little
princess turned THREE a week ago and we couldn't be more proud of who
she's become! Here are a few things I would like to remember
about Ahgoo at three...
- She's the only on in her entire class
who knows the names of ALL of the planets! (Dispite what most
people think, I did not teach her this! It was one of her
teachers who also happens to teach a science enrichment program to the
kids.) - At a recent parent-teacher conference, her teacher described her as a natural leader, funny, and expressive. - She still dislikes the number 4 and will purposely skip over 4 when counting to 10. - She loves to pretend play and will often declare "I'm the mama!" - Her favorite colors are purple, pink, blue, and white...in that order. -
She is very caring and often will point out if someone in a picture is
sad. She will always say, "He is crying because he wants his
mama, dada, brother, and Toby!" - Whenever I tell her that she's my little baby, she'll correct me and say,"No, I'm a BIG GIRL!" -
The day of her birthday, she put her pacifier in her baby doll crib and
proclaim that she no longer uses a paci because she's a big girl now.
We are all so proud of her! I was so worried about weaning
her from it but she decided that she no longer wants it!
To
celebrate Ahgoo's birthday, we threw her an Ariel party and invited all
her friends from school, along with a few other close friends.
There must have been about 40 people at the party!
Thankfully, Ariel managed to entertain all the kids with a
loverly story (and some great singing) and some hand painting.
All in all, it was a good party and Ahgoo took a nice long nap
after all the guests left! Happy birthday to our smart little
princess! I love my little girl.
| Ariel and our Princess! Yes, I made that background out of felt and paper!
 | Ahgoo was learning how to pose like a true princess.
 | She wanted a princess cake with all of her favorite princesses on it.

| Some lovely pom-poms.
