It's August and we've been at
our home for eight months now! Since the beginning of summer
we've steadily been hosting some casual dinners for our friends to see
our new home. Last weekend, we had a final set of good
friens over for a lovely dinner and I decided to break out the formal
table cloth! This is also our very first dinner using our good
dishes and glasses instead of paper plates and paper cups.
For this party, I also tried something new, individual smores! I got the idea from Pinterest here
I used a tea light instead of charcoal. I think the tea
light didn't work as well as charcoal because it took too long to heat
up the marshmellows without burning. But I didn't have time to
pick up charcoal. But I think it was a fun dessert for everyone.
I also served pre-scooped ice cream in espresso cups, also
inspired by Pinterest here
But it was Mr. BAW who improvised last minute to make coffee and
pour it over the ice cream. It turned out to be super yummy!
I'd say that dinner was a success, and we had beautiful weather
that evening. Oh, and it was a chance for us to congratulation
our lovely friends on their new engagement.
By the way,
can you tell from this post that I'm pretty addicted to Pinterest?!
If you are old enough, you may recall a little movie called Short Circuit
. I'm just like Number 5 when I browse Pinterest
, "More input, more input!"
