Directions to the UCLA Faculty Center:
480 Charles Young Dr., Los Angeles, CA 90095
310-825-0877

The closest major airport to UCLA is the Los Angeles International Airport, LAX.
From LAX, take the 405 freeway north to the Sunset Blvd. exit and go east. Turn right on Hilgard Avenue then turn right on Westholme (the second traffic light) and enter the UCLA campus. Go to the parking and information kiosk to your right and ask for parking directions. The Faculty Center is the first building on your right.

From Wilshire Boulevard turn to Westholme Avenue and go North, enter UCLA campus. Go to Parking and Information kiosk on your right and ask for parking directions.

Click here for a printable campus map of UCLA.  The UCLA Faculty Center is at G4 on this map.  All-day parking is available for our wedding guests at Lot 2 (F5).  The lot is immediately south of the Faculty Center.  Drive to the Parking Kiosk to pick up the parking key (to enter lot) and the all-day permit.  Tell the attendant that you are attending Brian and Amy's wedding.

Where to Stay for the Wedding at UCLA's Faculty Center:

  • Low Budget: Claremont Hotel - $70/night  (E8 on campus map)
The Claremont Hotel is located in Westwood Village a few blocks south of UCLA. This hotel is very old and has it's charm.  But for the most part, the Claremont is very basic, providing small rooms with a functioning bathroom.  None of the rooms have TVs.   10 rooms have been blocked off for our guests under our names.  Please state that you are guests of Amy and Brian's wedding.

  • Medium Budget: UCLA Guest House - $139/night (G3 on campus map)
This on-campus housing is charming and convenient situated only steps from UCLA's Faculty Center.   Free amenities include access to the John Wooden Recreation Center and Sunset Recreation (including swimming pools).  We recommend this hotel for it's location and services.  Parking is free if spaces are available.  Otherwise, there is a paid lot (Lot 3) near by.  Normally, the UCLA Guest House is only available to alumni.  Since Amy is an alumni, she is able to block off 10 rooms for guests of the wedding.  Please contact Amy directly at amyatmos@ucla.edu to make a reservation.  All reservations must be made through Amy.

  • High Budget: W Hotel - $380/night (F7 on campus map)
The W Hotel is located just down the hill from UCLA's Faculty Center.  If you are in the mood for luxury, the W is the place to be.  The W is also a pet friendly hotel.

  • Pet Friendly Hotels: Click here to see a list of pet friendly hotels near UCLA.

What to do in Westwood Villiage:  We have some recommendations of where to dine and what to do in Westwood.

  • Dining:
Mio Babbo's Italian Restaurant (D8) is one of our favorites.  You must try their Caprese. Then for dessert, walk across the street to Cafe Elysee (D8) for the best Tiramisu in town.
In the mood for ice cream and cookies?  You must head over to Diddy Riese (D7) for an ice cream sandwich for $1.  You pick your choice of cookies and ice cream flavor.  Amy's favorite cookie is their oatmeal raisin.  If you are in the mood for some fries, you must go to Headlines (D8) for their yummy curly fries with a side of ranch dressing.

    Sites:
Swing by the Fox Theater (D7) to see where Hollywood holds their movie premiers.   Skip across the street to Maloney's (D7) for a drink.

UCLA is located in the heart of the city of Westwood.  Westwood is surrounded by famous LA locales.  A few miles to the west of Westwood is the world famous Santa Monica Pier.  Bordering UCLA to the north is Bel Air, home to the stars and Ronald and Nancy Regan when he was alive.  Ronald Regan never forgot his Hollywood and LA roots.  If you head east on Wilshire Blvd, you will hit Beverly Hills and the world famous Rodeo Drive for some fancy shopping.

LA is a cultural feast for folks who love museums.  Below are links to some of our favorite musuems to visit.
