Brian grew up in Rochester
Hills, a peaceful
suburban neighborhood in Michigan. He attended college at the
University of Michigan. After finishing up his degree in
Aerospace Engineering, Brian headed west to his first job as an
engineer for Lockeed Martin. Soon, Brian became increasingly
bored with his job and left to pursue his MBA degree in beautiful UC
Davis.
After finishing up graduate school, Brian moved south to sunny Los
Angeles to reunite with all of his former Michigan friends Amber
Purohit, Eric Roth, and Reena Byrne. In 2003, Brian
soon
found himself working for Raytheon, along with Amber. During one
of his first section meetings, he met a fellow engineer named Amy
Boonsiriseth. Though it took a little over three years, the
rest
is history.
Brian enjoys being active. He loves beach volleyball, soccer,
indoor volleyball, running, and an occasional game of golf. Brian
also
enjoys the colorful LA culture and loves to attend plays and comedy
shows.
Amy was born in Thailand but moved to
sunny Los
Angeles when she was just eight years old. Due to her dislike for
cold weather, she stayed in Southern California to attend USC.
After finishing up her Astronomy and Math degrees, she moved across
town to attend graduate school at UCLA. She spent 7 years at UCLA
pursuing her Ph.D. in Atmospheric Sciences.
Towards the end of
her academic life at UCLA, she decided to "get a
real
job" and became a Systems Engineer at a local aerospace company called
Raytheon in 2001. Soon after living on her own, Amy decided to
adopt her dream puppy, a Golden Retriever she named Toby. It'll
be a few years until Brian makes his way to Raytheon, so Amy and Toby
spent plenty of time hanging out at the beach with friends. One
of her favorite passtimes is hanging out with friends at a local coffee
shop with Toby by her feet.
