This is a Chinese character for "double happiness."  It evolved from the character for happiness .  Put two together side by side to make the double happiness symbol displayed at weddings and New Year celebrations. 

Our recent trip to Japan have made us fall in love with the beauty of Cherry Blossom Trees.  The cycle of the Cherry Blossoms symbolizes the cycle of life.  These glorious flowers have become th inspiration and theme of our wedding.
