I am happy whenever I get to visit a new university campus.  So it was a real treat when we had time on our trip to Iowa to see the University of Iowa.  I loved the college town on the outskirt of campus.  The campus itself is beautiful.  It literally has a river running through it.  The kids were up to their usual antics and had a great time.  The weather was perfect for running around campus!  Enjoy the pics.

At the main entrance of campus.

Buzz looking all business while Ahgoo runs crazy.  Can you see her?  Such differnt personalities!

"Mama, yellow leaves!"

Examining the elements.

My little college buddy!

Beautiful fall leaves across the river.

The Business School.

Pappajohn is big there.

A beautiful riverwalk.

The golden tree.

When you visit LA, you go to Disneyland.  When you visit Moline, IL, you go to the John Deere Pavilion.  The place is actually very impressive.  There are giant machines everywhere you look.  You can also climb into every one of them.  We all had a great time pretending like we drive these monsters around daily.  There was a giant compound that they told us is actually only a mini-compound!  Enjoy the pictures below.

Grandpa and his tiny helper.

Cousins, inside a giant tire.

Two ladies and a giant tractor.

I can use one of these on LA freeways.

View of the entire pavilion from the giant compound.

The "kids" having fun in the gift shop.

This is like a giant transformer.

We spent a week in Iowa during Halloween.  The kids got to go Trick or Treating with their cousins and the weather couldn't have been better.  We got a warm dose of Fall colors along with beautiful clear skies.  There was only one morning when we got a little mist.  But every day on our trip was just gorgeous.  It was a wonderful break from real life for a week.  It was time spent with family and low key sight seeing around town.  My BIL and his family recently moved to the Quad Cities area of Iowa.  I was pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the area.  We even squeezed in a visit to the University of Iowa, continuing my love of campus tours.  For now, enjoy the lovely Autume colors of the Mid-West.  By the way, the picture in the previous blog entry is also from Iowa.  The kids really loved tossing dried leaves into the air!

Life is seriously living me.  I was going to let November pass me by in the blog sphere but then I suddenly realized that this month is my TEN YEAR BLOGVERSARY!!!!  I started blogging in November 2005, here was my very first blog entry!  Since Buzz started kindergarten I'm lucky if I get to crawl into bed before 10pm every evening.  I have contemplated abandoning my blog.  But blogging and sharing pictures still brings me joy when I have the time to do so.  I remember my blogging philosophy when I started out ten years ago, I said that I will post when I feel like it and I will not let this site be a stress for me.  At the beginning, it was just Toby and I.  As the years go by, more characters have made their appearances on this blog.  I have also changed the look of the blog over the years.  I find joy in looking back at past years and constantly remind myself of how much my life have changed for the better. So I decided that I will not simply let my blog life die.   But I will keep true to my words, I will continue to post blogs only if I feel like it and hopefully, will do so for another ten years.
