FALL IN LOVE

As the days get shorter and the weather cools, you just want to curl up in a cozy blanket, a warm drink in hand, light a candle or two, and fall in love. If you really want to fall in love, I highly recommend watching this absolutely beautitul documentary Naledi. Unless you lack a heart, I guarentee that you will fall in love. You will fall in love with baby Naledi, you will fall in love with mama Kiti, and you will fall in love with all the people who devote their lives to helping these incredible animals. If you watch the show, be sure to have a box of tissue with you, you'll need it. After you watched the documentary, find out how Naledi is doing here.

FALL IN THE AIR

There's just something I can't pin my fingers on. It seems to happen suddenly, one day you wake up in the morning and there is an undeniable chill in the air. You need to turn on the lights in the bathroom in the morning, windows need to be closed at night, and the porch light comes on a bit earlier. We went from 85 degrees to Fall seemingly overnight but also slowly. We haven't even roll back the time yet but it's already gettting darker sooner in the late evenings. I'm definitely sad about leaving summer already. I know alot of people love fall and love the holiday season. But I just love summer so much more! The only silver lining this year is that we are all working/schooling from home. I used to hate dropping the kids off at school before the sun even comes out and then picking them up after the sun already set. At least this year, we get to huddle warmly at home in our own corners of the house as we distance work/learn. I wanted to share the last few pictures of summer...the peahen with her growing chicks hanging out in our back patio, Kepler hogging a bag of tennis balls, the first time I had to break out the cozy sweater, and the last day the kids hit the beach before the gloom really came in. There is one big thing I'm excited about, we're starting construction on our backyard this week!!! Woohoo, bracing for chaos again for a few months. Stay cozy.
