CHATEAU MONTELENA
Yes, July just flew by when your kids are in Summer School. Buzz just finished an intense six week geometry course which is his very first high school class. The class is very intense since they covered an entire year of geometry in six weeks. They had a test everyday and was able to cover the entire text book. Thankfully, Buzz did extremely well and one of his best friends was also in the class and provided him with good motivation. Ahgoo also took a 4-hour algebra class over summer, which she was not too thrilled about since all her friends were in art classes and other "fun classes." But she did extremely well in the class and it will prepare her well for the upcoming school year.After the kids finished their classes, we managed to take a quick mini-vacation to visit our friends, TNK and her family, up in Northern California. They have a lovely cottage in the heart of Napa so we spent a long weekend with them. We had a wonderful time and they made us an amazing feast the first night we got there. Napa is gorgeous and they showed us wonderful places that they like in Napa. We also got an amazing private wine tasting experience at .Chateau Montelena, thanks to our friend who is on the board of directors. While the adults were wine tasting, our kids (Buzz, Ahgoo, and TNK's two boys) all went to get boba and hung out at the house. We all had a wonderful time and I'll post pictures of our trip soon. Right now, I can show you the results of a wine tasting contest that put Napa on the map for wine production in the eyes of the world back in 1976. Stay tuned for more Napa pictrues!
