Love In Tuscon
We visit Arizona regularly since my In-Laws spend their winters there. But we're usually in the Phoenix area. In fact, I've never been to Tuscon until April of this year! One of Mr. BAW's college buddy got hitched at the end of April so we took a quick trip out to Tuscon to attend the wedding.
We stayed at a lovely little hotel, the Westward Look, in Tuscon. The hotel is adorable with little casitas that feels more like a resort than a hotel. We spent one morning at the pool, practically by ourselves. The kids had so much fun swimming. The weather was perfect, warm but not too hot. The hotel grounds were lovely, equiped with a chef's garden which I drooled over. Something I would want in our back patio in the future.
Our friends' wedding was cozy and lovely, they treated all the guests to a spectacular brunch the next morning, a great send-off for us as we drove back to Los Angeles. Congratulations to Mike and Maria!

I've litterally spent two years trying to redesign my blog. I taught myself style sheets and researched new html codes. I've pinned tons of blog design inspiration images on pinterest. I've made tons of test sites. Now, after over two years, I'm finally ready to officially make the switch to the new blog design. I hope you like it. It's like a house remodel, all the functions of my old site are still here, but the site is cleaner, brighter, and more modern. Item of note is that I switched my archive with my reading list. The archive is now accessible from a link on my blog but my daily reading list is showcased on my blog. Oh, and I finally cleaned up my reading list to remove abandoned sites. You have no idea how proud I am of my new blog design. So if you don't like it, well take Thumper's father's advice..."If you don't have something nice to say, then don't say nothing at all." One day, I will update the other parts of my website as well...
I hope everyone had a nice long weekend and enjoyed your Memorial Day. We had a lot packed into the weekend, visiting old friends and family, and attending a birthday party. So on Memorial Day, I wanted to keep things simple and avoid crowds. So we headed over to Downtown LA. Even though we're no strangers to the area, we still managed to discover something new! We explored a true urban secret garden above the Disney Concert Hall. It was quiet, peaceful, and lovely! Enjoy our pics.

So Cal Kids
We had a heatwave a week before Memorial Day weekend. So we beat the crowd to the beach by a week. The kids had a wonderful time, Buzz boogie boarding and Ahgoo playing with the sand. Ahgoo is doing really well in swim class, she just moved onto intermediate strokes. Buzz is moving up to advanced strokes. Buzz LOVES the water, pool or beach. He's going to grow up to be one of those "surfer duds." We hope that both kids will be very strong swimmers. Ahgoo might not like the water as much as Buzz, but once she gets stronger, we're sure she'll want to get into the ocean as well...
