HAPPY LEAP DAY!
Here's Kepler wedging himself into the corner of the couch to celebrate his extra day! Also happy birthday to our friend Rosa, who turns 13 this year...haha she's actually 52. What are you doing with this extra day??

HAPPY LEAP MONTH!
Whew, the much dreaded January is over, although this year, it does seem like it flew by quicker than other years. Although we've had some rain, January was not as gloomy as I had braced for. However, February started out with a HUGE downpour! Every time I listen to the news in my car, I hear "Atmospheric River" being thrown around. Sure enough, we had so much rain in a four-hour span that I pulled my car out of the garage to get a free car wash! I also have a few buckets out to collect some of the rain water for the dryer months.Right before the rain hit, we attended an epic Doggie Birthday Pawty! Kepler's friend, Reily (the Golden with a teal bandana in pictures below), turned 8 and her Dad threw her a huge pawty with ten of her closest doggie friends! Reily lost her human Mom to breast cancer last year so this gathering was very important to her human Dad. As you can see from the pictures below, it was ONE EPIC Doggie Pawty! At least ten dogs were there and it was amazingly calm. Everyone, including the humans, all got along swimmingly. At one point, we tried to get some pictures of the dogs (when we only had five arrived) with treats, it didn't work so well. At the end, I wanted a huge "school picture" of everyone with their dogs. I only posted the start of the coordination and the "good" picture but in reality, I must have taken about 20 pictures! Mr. BAW said towards the end, he could barely hold on to Kepler for the picture. As you can see, one of the dogs just flat out refused to get into the picture. So I make do and just let him lie near the group. It's still an epic doggie class picture. Reily's Dad also provided a wonderful human spread of coffee, bloody mary, fruits, Bagels, and (of course!) Randy's donut holes. Everyone and everypaw had a wonderful time. Reily's Mom was definitely smiling down on us that day.
